How do I perform an allergy test? 

Do not take NSAIDs. They're not blood thinners technically, but they impact the time it takes to clot, so in practice it's the same result. Ibuprofen, naproxen sodium (Aleve), etc. 

Painkillers wise, anything good enough is going to make you too out of it to sit well , and any numbing cream will wear away after 2/4 hours.

If you artist is blasting in the ink, ask them to go lighter and do two passovers. if you’re making it for the first two hours fine , your central nervous system is getting overwhelmed after and unable to compensate. your natural response to pain is releasing dopamine and serotonin to deal with it. if your body is running out early , you should try and take it easy the few days before hand to recharge.
